About Crags Property Preservation

Along the ridges above Springville the limestone breaks through in gray shelves, and the grass grows right up to the lip of it. Crags Property Preservation keeps lawns in that country — mowing, string trimming and edging on red-clay slopes where a straight line takes some doing. Late in the afternoon, when the light runs long across St. Clair County, a finished yard reads like a made bed. Seasonal cleanups clear the pine litter and hardwood leaf drop that drifts down off the hillsides all year. It is lawn work in a town that has kept its rough edges, and the place looks better for the contrast.
