Ken's Lawn Kare

About Ken's Lawn Kare

Spring Garden mornings arrive with dew heavy enough to soak a bootleg before the first pass, and the fog lifts off the pasture bottoms toward Terrapin Creek about the time the mower warms up. Ken's Lawn Kare cuts the yards and the wide grassy acreage tucked between hayfields out here in Cherokee County, where a home lawn often runs straight up to a fence line and a stand of timber. Mowing at a height the Piedmont clay can carry through August, trimming out the fence corners no mower reaches, edging the drive so it reads as one unbroken sweep of gravel and grass. The work is done when the debris is off the porch steps and the walk, not before. Country yards deserve the same attention as the ones in town, and out here they get it.
