Mow Guys

About Mow Guys

Southside sits where the Coosa slows and widens into Neely Henry Lake, and on July mornings the water pushes a little cool air up the yards before the heat finds them. Mow Guys works those hours — mower off the trailer early, lines laid straight, the trimmer taken around dock posts, mailbox brick and the legs of a swing set. By the time the first boats idle out from the ramps, the walk is edged to a line you could follow with a finger. Clippings swept off the concrete, the gate latched behind them, the stripes catching whatever light comes through the pines. Plain lawn work, carried all the way into the corners, on yards that face the water and ought to look it.
