Darrell's Lawn Care Service

About Darrell's Lawn Care Service

By late August the creek bottoms around Scottsboro hold heat until well past supper, and the whippoorwills start up before the last yard is finished. Darrell's Lawn Care Service works those long evenings — mowing, edging, string trimming, and blowing walks and drives clean before the light goes. Grass in Jackson County grows hard from May to September, then eases into a slower fall of leaf cleanup and final cuts. Every route is a set of familiar gates and familiar dogs. A well-kept yard at dusk, cut grass still in the air, is worth the day it took.
