Blacks Tree Service

About Blacks Tree Service

Scottsboro folds itself around a courthouse square with the Tennessee River lying broad and slow just below town. Blacks Tree Service works the streets that run down toward the water — trimming sycamores that shed over sidewalks, pruning the crowded hardwoods in older yards, removing a trunk that has started to push a foundation or lean toward a neighbor's roof. River-valley humidity grows trees fast in Jackson County, and fast growth is exactly what needs a hand on it. When a summer storm walks up the valley and leaves limbs on the porch steps, they clear them and sweep the walk until the house looks lived in again. A good cut is quiet work; nobody notices it, which is the point.
