By July a lot left alone in south Montgomery County stands waist-high and full of nothing anybody wants, and that is the kind of ground Brushwackers likes best. The overgrowth gets cut down to a field again, then the yard part gets its regular treatment: mowing to an even height, trimming around every post, edging the drive so the line comes back. Midday heat here is a fact you work through, and the reward is standing at the road afterward and seeing all the way across what was hidden that morning. Debris goes on the trailer instead of into the ditch. It never stops wanting to grow back, which is why the route keeps coming around.
