Spring Green

About Spring Green

There is a week in March when Opelika changes color overnight — dogwoods open along the fence lines, the dormant lawns lose their straw, and everybody remembers where they parked the mower. Spring Green is out for that first cut of the year, mowing the winter off a yard and edging back the lines that blurred sometime around November. From there it becomes steady work through a growing season that does not quit until frost finally shows up. Trimming around trees and beds, clearing the walks, holding the cut even week to week. A yard that gets that attention early looks better all the way to fall.
