Canetuck Turf

About Canetuck Turf

On a Saturday the blocks around the Kentuck Art Center fill up with people, and suddenly every strip of grass downtown is on display. Canetuck Turf treats turf as the thing itself rather than the background: mowing at the height the grass actually wants, edging along walks and drives, trimming what the mower cannot reach and clearing every clipping away. Zoysia and bermuda both reward patience in this climate, and both tell on anyone who rushes them. What stays behind is the point — even color, straight lines, a border you can read from the sidewalk. Lawns across Northport, Tuscaloosa and Coker get the same treatment.
