About Shivers Southern Company LLC

At noon in deep summer the cicadas over Moody get so loud they seem to rise straight up out of the ground, and the magnolias hold their shade like something owed. Shivers Southern Company LLC works right through that hour — mower, edger, trimmer, blower, then back to the truck with the drive swept clean. Alabama grass takes heat as an invitation, so the cutting never really lets up between April and October. There is an old satisfaction in finishing a yard at the hottest part of a Southern day and having it stand there green and squared off while everything else wilts. Evening comes and the whole street smells like it.
