Griers Lawn Care

About Griers Lawn Care

October in St. Clair County comes down slowly — the sweetgums go first, then the oaks, and for about a month a Moody yard is buried a little deeper every windy night. Griers Lawn Care runs the leaf work through that stretch, pulling them off the turf before they mat down and smother the grass underneath. The mowing does not stop either; it only spaces out, the last cuts of the year taken a notch lower to set the lawn up for its dormant months. Edges get cut back sharp so the yard keeps an outline even after the color has gone. Then comes that first still, cold morning when the ground lies bare and swept and ready to wait.
