Lawn care

About Lawn care

Saturday morning in west Mobile starts early, before the humidity thickens and the pavement out toward Schillinger begins to shimmer. Lawn care runs the mowers through the subdivisions off Cottage Hill and Airport, taking centipede and St. Augustine down to an even height and giving every drive and mailbox a defined edge. It is straightforward work with an honest result: a block of yards that all look cared for, one after another, the way a neighborhood is supposed to look on a weekend. Trimming reaches the fence lines and the awkward corners a mower can never quite honor, and the clippings get cleared off the concrete before the truck pulls away. Between March and November the grass never really rests here, so neither does the schedule.
