Uncle Willie’s Lawn Care

About Uncle Willie’s Lawn Care

Come late afternoon in Triana the bottomland holds heat like a skillet, and the shade under the pecans is where everybody ends up. The lots out here are broad and level — church yards, front yards, and the long strips that run beside the road. Uncle Willie's Lawn Care keeps them mowed and trimmed, edges cut in, corners cleaned out, the odd fallen limb carried off. There is something steadying about a wide flat yard cut all one direction on a still evening. Madison County will grow it right back by next week, which is fine; that is the arrangement.
