Mills Mowing

About Mills Mowing

Saturday morning in Hazel Green, the dew is still heavy enough to darken your boots and the air over the fields has not thickened yet. Mills Mowing likes that window: grass standing up, the cut coming off clean, passes running the long way across a Valley lot where there is room to make them. Trimming follows the fence line and the foundation, edging gives the drive its border back, and the blower takes the clippings off the concrete. By mid-morning the yard is done and the smell of it is on the whole street. That is the trade, plainly, and it holds up week after week from spring through the first frost.
