About Lockard's Lawn Care & Landscaping

Late winter strips the oaks of north Madison County down to their architecture, and that is the best time to see what a tree actually needs. Lockard's works Hazel Green and the farm roads around it: trimming and pruning limbs back into good form, laying sod where a yard has worn through to bare ground, landscaping, and mowing once the season turns. Fresh sod on prepared soil is the most immediate thing in this trade, bare dirt at breakfast and a green yard by supper. Between the low bottoms and the long ridge lines to the south, there is no shortage of ground that wants that kind of start. We cut for the tree's sake, not just the sightline.
