About LandWorks Co.

November strips the oaks and sweetgums around Hazel Green in about three weeks, and every lawn along the roads off US-231 disappears underneath. LandWorks Co. spends that stretch with rakes and blowers, pulling leaves out of beds and fence corners, off the crowns of shrubs and out of the gutter line at the road, and hauling the piles away. The rest of the year is mowing, edging and trimming on a set rotation, holding the turf even across the wide flat lots this end of Madison County is made of. There is a particular satisfaction in a yard uncovered again — grass still green underneath, borders fresh, the whole place looking a size larger than it did that morning.
