About Abyss DrainWorks LLC

Rain does not so much fall on north Madison County as arrive all at once, and by the time it lets up, every yard in Hazel Green has become a small map of where the water wanted to go — down the swale, along the ditch line, off toward the Flint. Abyss DrainWorks LLC keeps lawns here on a mowing schedule that respects that low ground, cutting the high side clean and easing through the soft corners without leaving a rut behind. Edges are run sharp against the concrete, the string trimmer takes the fence posts and the mailbox, and the drive is cleared of clippings so nothing washes into the street with the next storm. Grass grows fast and green in this valley from March until frost, which means the work is never finished so much as kept even. By evening the sun comes back out over the flat fields north of Huntsville, and the whole yard stands up straight again.
