Hummingbird Lawn & Garden

About Hummingbird Lawn & Garden

August in Harpersville hangs heavy off the Coosa, and the porch feeders stay busy right up until the thunderheads build in the west. Hummingbird Lawn & Garden works the Shelby County yards along the 280 corridor with a gardener's eye: grass cut on a weekly turn, edges laid in crisp along walk and drive, the trimmer run through fence lines and around every bed. Those beds are the pleasure of it — weeded, mulched, and the shrubs trimmed so the blooms and the leaves both get their room. When fall comes down through the pines and hardwoods, the leaves are cleared off the turf and out of the plantings. A yard here can read like a garden with only a little steady help, and that is the aim.
