Anthony's Lawn Care

About Anthony's Lawn Care

By the middle of June, Hanceville evenings arrive warm and heavy, cicadas winding up in the oaks, and every yard in town grows faster than anyone can keep watch on. Anthony's Lawn Care spends those long days behind a mower, laying stripes across Bermuda and fescue, then walking the whole line back with a trimmer so the fence posts, the mailbox and the base of the crape myrtle all come out clean. There is a real pleasure in the edge along a sidewalk — that crisp dark seam where concrete stops and grass begins. Mowing, trimming, edging, cleanup: plain words for the thing that makes a house look looked-after. When autumn turns the water oaks loose, the same attention goes into getting the leaves off the lawn and away.
