About Williams Land Rescue

A wet July in Washington County can turn a lawn into a thicket in a matter of weeks; the heat and the rain here do not negotiate. Williams Land Rescue meets the ones that got away - knocking down heavy growth, clearing brush and fallen limbs, then bringing the ground back to a mowed, edged, trimmed yard that can be kept on a schedule. The satisfaction is in the before and after: a lot that had disappeared standing open again, with its borders visible from the road. Once it is back, regular mowing and trimming are what keep it that way. Around Fruitdale, where the woods lean in from every direction, that upkeep is the whole battle.
