About Mow Time

By seven on a July morning in Florence the Bermuda grass is already up and the day's heat is only a rumor, and that is the best hour there is to cut. Mow Time runs on that clock — early starts, steady routes, one yard finished properly before the next one begins. Summer here pushes grass hard, so the mowing is regular, the trimmer follows the fence and the walk, and the driveway gets blown down before anyone pulls in. The result is a lawn that never looks like it got away from anybody, even in the weeks when everything green in the Shoals is growing twice as fast as it should. Come evening, when the cicadas start up, the whole street looks squared away.
