About Hobby Turf

The first cut of the year usually lands in March, right about when the dogwoods open white along the older streets in town. Hobby Turf starts the season there and stays with it, cutting on a schedule, taking the walks and drives back to a straight line, running the fence rows, carrying the cuttings away. Dew hangs late in these yards, so the early hours belong to the equipment and the mourning doves. Enterprise gives grass a long runway, eight months of growing weather with a mild stretch on either end, and a lawn shows every week you skip. Steady beats heroic out here.
