About Morris Lawn Service

Around the middle of March everything in Elmore turns faintly yellow, pine pollen on the truck hood, on the porch rail, on the still water in the birdbath. That is the signal for the year's first mow, and Morris Lawn Service is out taking the winter off the yards: cutting ragged growth down even, re-cutting edges along drives and walks, trimming the fence corners, clearing the walks and porches. The first cut of spring is the most dramatic one there is, a shaggy lot turned into a lawn inside an hour. After that it goes weekly, and the yard never has to be rescued again. Central Alabama gives back fast; you only have to meet it.
