Southern Lawn

About Southern Lawn

June at May Day Park: the ballfields cut short, the boardwalk dropping down the bluff into shade, and the whole eastern shore smelling like clipped grass and salt water. Southern Lawn keeps Daphne yards in that same condition — mowing on a steady cycle, trimming around oak trunks and fence posts, edging the walk until the line is crisp. Gulf summers grow grass faster than almost anywhere in the country, and staying ahead of it is the craft. A lawn that has been kept all season looks nothing like one that has been rescued, and the difference shows from the road. The reward is plain enough: a yard a family can walk out onto barefoot on a Saturday morning.
