About Southern Horizon Landscaping

West of town the land falls away toward the Coosa, and on a clear evening the whole horizon goes copper behind the pines. Southern Horizon Landscaping builds yards worth standing in at that hour, with beds shaped and mulched, shrubs trimmed to hold their form, borders defined, and the lawn kept mowed and cleanly edged. Central Alabama offers a long planting season and a soil that runs red and heavy, so this work is as much about preparation as about what finally goes in the ground. Through fall the leaves come off, through spring the beds get reset, and all season the grass gets cut on time. A landscape done well never announces itself, it just makes the place feel finished.
