About Murf's Turf

The pine ridges of the Talladega National Forest stand at Childersburg's back, and from June on the heat gets up so early that the good hours end by nine. Murf's Turf works those hours — mowing first, then trimming the edges a mower cannot reach, then blowing the walks and drive clean. Turf is the whole subject here: how short it is taken, how evenly, and how it comes through a hot dry stretch. Getting a yard back from shaggy to neat in a single afternoon is a satisfaction that does not wear off. Yards in Childersburg, Vincent, Wilsonville and Sylacauga stay on the list.
