CrossCuts

About CrossCuts

Come July in Brookwood the sky stacks gray over the treeline by three o'clock and the whole county starts watching the radar. CrossCuts works ahead of that, timing a route so the grass is down and the walks are blown before the first fat drops hit the Hurricane Creek bottoms. Rain here is generous and the bermuda answers it fast, which is why a steady rhythm beats one heroic afternoon every time. What gets left behind is simple and satisfying: an even cut, a crisp line where turf meets concrete, no clippings tracked up the steps. Yards get that treatment across Brookwood and over toward Coaling, Vance and Woodstock.
