Veteran Lawncare

About Veteran Lawncare

Headlights first, then the sky going gray over Burnt Corn Creek — the day starts early in eastern Escambia County, and so does the mowing. Veteran Lawncare runs its route with the dew still down, cutting, edging, trimming and clearing clippings before the afternoon heat can make a chore of any of it. There is order in the way it goes: the same yards, the same week, the lines laid exactly as they were laid last time. A lawn kept on a rhythm never has to be rescued. By the time the town is fully awake, three of them are finished and look it.
