Lawn & Leaf Plus

About Lawn & Leaf Plus

November lays a wet quilt of sweetgum and oak across every yard between Bessemer and Hueytown, and it does not lift on its own. Lawn & Leaf Plus works that stretch of the year hard — leaves off the grass before it smothers, out of the beds, cleared from the fence corners where the wind stacks them. The rest of the year the mower carries it: cut, edge, trim, blow the walk, week after week from the first warm spell onward. Seeing a lawn come out from under six inches of leaf litter still green is the reason the fall route runs late into the evening. Homes and small properties throughout Bessemer and the towns just north and west fill the book.
