Geneva Grass Co

About Geneva Grass Co

Out in the wiregrass the land lies flat and the sky does most of the talking — peanut fields running to the treeline, pine rows drawn straight as string, the Choctawhatchee bottoms holding their green through the dry weeks. Geneva Grass Co mows in that wide light, where a lawn is measured against a lot of open country and has to look sharp to hold its own. The work is mowing, edging, trimming and clearing, done on a schedule that keeps ahead of the long Geneva County growing season. A yard finished right out here reads from the road a hundred yards off, and that is the whole idea. Homes, churches and open ground around Bellwood and the county seat fill the route.
