Blackwater land & water management

About Blackwater land & water management

The tidal creeks around Bayou La Batre run tea-dark beneath the marsh grass, and at dusk the water borrows whatever color the sky is finished with. Blackwater land & water management works the ground on either side of that line, mowing and trimming the yards, ditch banks and lot margins the marsh is forever trying to take back. Some of it is simple grass; some of it is a corner gone to briar and volunteer pine that has to be brought back down to something a person can walk across. The reward is the moment a lot that had disappeared shows its shape again, right down to the property line. Waterside homes and working lots up and down the bayou keep the mowers moving.
