B & D lawn and tree service

About B & D lawn and tree service

Down at the channel, Bayou La Batre wakes in diesel and gull-cry, the shrimp boats easing out while the sky is still the color of an oyster shell. B & D lawn and tree service keeps its own early hours, mowing and edging before the salt air turns heavy at midday. Yards this close to the water grow fast and grow wild, and there is real satisfaction in handing one back with its lines drawn clean and the clippings blown off the walk. Fence posts trimmed around, hedges shaped, the shell drive swept — small things that tell you from the road that somebody looks after this place. It is work for the homes and shops of the bayou, kept on schedule the way the tide keeps its own.
