About Bates Lawn Care & Services LLC

Saturday morning in Athens starts around the courthouse square, where the brick storefronts hold the early light and half of Limestone County seems to drift in for coffee. Bates Lawn Care & Services LLC works the streets that spoke out from that square, mowing yards under water oaks that have shaded the same sidewalks a very long time. Summer comes up humid off the valley floor, so the cutting begins early and the trimming follows the fence lines before the heat takes over the afternoon. There is a plain satisfaction in a lawn finished by noon: stripes running true, the sidewalk cleared, nothing left but the smell of cut grass. Come fall the work turns to leaves and last cuts, and the yards go into the cool months looking put together. It is lawn care for Athens and the towns around it, one yard at a time.
