A Cut Above

About A Cut Above

Albertville keeps a gold fire hydrant downtown, a bright wink from a town that casts hydrants by the thousand. A Cut Above works the streets around it, rolling out mid-morning once the dew has lifted off Sand Mountain and the bermuda is dry enough to take a clean pass. The work is mowing on a steady week, trimming and edging, and the seasonal cleanups that reset a yard between one stretch of growth and the next. What matters is the finish — the straight run beside a sidewalk, the edge that follows a drive like a drawn line, the clippings blown back off the concrete before the trailer gate goes up. Yards from Albertville out toward Boaz and Sardis City get that same last look before the truck pulls away.
