About JD Landscaping

Dig anywhere around Alabaster and you find that famous red clay — stubborn stuff that holds water and gives up nothing easily. Working with it rather than against it is most of landscaping in Shelby County: beds shaped and mulched deep, borders cut into the soil so they hold, shrubs kept in bounds instead of let go. JD Landscaping handles that side alongside the regular mowing, edging and trimming that keeps a property in rhythm right through the growing season. In April the azaleas throw everything they have, and fresh mulch behind them makes the color read twice as bright. By August, when the blooms have settled down, it is the shape of the place that carries it — and shape is the part worth building.
