Hunter's Lawn & Care

About Hunter's Lawn & Care

By one o'clock in July the cicadas have taken over the whole treeline, and the only shade on an Adamsville street is whatever a pecan or a water oak is willing to give. Hunter's Lawn & Care works right through the thick of it — cutting, edging, string trimming, then blowing every clipping off the drive before the truck rolls. Summer down here is a race the grass is winning, and the answer is a fixed day each week and a blade kept sharp. Come fall the leaves get cleared out of the beds and the corners, and the yard gets put to bed for the cool months. The best minute of the day is the last look back down the street at turf cut level and true.
