A Pushmower & a Purpose

About A Pushmower & a Purpose

The name is the whole plan: one mower, one good reason to push it. Abbeville wakes slow around its courthouse square, with Yatta Abba Creek slipping off through wiregrass country and peanut ground on the edge of town. Mowing here happens at walking speed, which is exactly the speed at which a yard tells you what it needs — where it holds water, where the bermuda runs thin under an old pecan. Trimming and edging give a Henry County lawn its shape back, a line along the walk you could follow with your eye all the way to the porch. By the time the drive is blown clear and the mower is loaded, the grass looks like somebody meant it.
