About Snow Pressure LLC

The lakes around Tanaina freeze early and hold their ice long into spring, and the roads looping between them stay narrow, walled in on both sides by birch and black spruce that catch and hold every snowfall of the season. Snow Pressure LLC clears driveways and access roads through that lake country, pushing snow back into the tree line rather than piling it where it would block the trails snowmachines use to cross between properties once the lakes lock up solid. Walkways down to boat launches and lakefront cabins get shoveled and sanded, since a sloped path to the water holds no forgiveness for a bad step on ice. Parking areas near the road loops get scraped clear so residents can still reach the highway into Wasilla after a heavy system. Out here, the quiet of the frozen lakes carries the sound of a plow blade a long way before the truck itself comes into view.
