High Tidy Cleaners

About High Tidy Cleaners

Downtown Juneau stacks itself up the mountainside, and the yards on Starr Hill are reached by wooden stairways instead of driveways. High Tidy Cleaners carries the mower and trimmer up those steps to lawns about the size of a living room, cuts them, edges them along the boardwalk and the fence, and packs the clippings back down again. Tight lots ask for precision — there's no room to be approximate when the entire lawn is visible in a single glance. On a clear afternoon the channel shows between the rooftops, and a freshly cut patch of green against all that gray rock looks like something won. Then back down the stairs, and on to the next one.
