About RC Plowing & Trucking, LLC

The borough that holds Juneau stretches far past the few downtown blocks most people picture, out across the Douglas Bridge to the island side and north along the road toward Auke Bay and the Mendenhall Valley, and RC Plowing & Trucking covers that wider spread. Distances here mean less flash and more grind: long driveways and pull-offs strung along the road with spruce and hemlock pressing close on both sides, the kind of ground that holds onto snow the sun barely reaches in December. Trucking the snow itself out from a lot with nowhere left to bank it is its own piece of the job in a borough this hemmed in by water and mountain. Weather rolling up the channel can dump snow on Douglas while downtown gets rain, so the work looks different from one end of a route to the other some mornings. Clearing that whole stretch, mile by mile, before a school bus or a work truck needs it, is a long borough's worth of plowing.
