About Animal Tree Service

Out in the Mendenhall Valley the air off the icefield arrives cold and clean, and the cottonwoods along Montana Creek take the brunt of it. Animal Tree Service covers tree removal and tree trimming through the valley flats and side roads, prunes for structure so a young spruce grows a trunk it can stand on, and clears storm damage after a hard blow scatters limbs across drives and fences. Winter here is a matter of weight — wet snow stacks on a crowded crown until something gives — so much of the work gets done in advance, in the slow weeks. By July the alder is head-high again and the whole cycle restarts. Yards in this valley are borrowed from the forest, and holding onto them takes steady hands.
