About Glacier Bay Construction, Inc.

Gustavus is land the ice gave back, a broad, flat plain still rising inch by inch out of Icy Strait since the glaciers pulled away up the bay. In winter that openness fills with snow from edge to edge, burying the wild strawberry meadows and softening the long, straight roads that run out between the spruce. Glacier Bay Construction, Inc. clears a way through that quiet country, opening driveways and yards so homes and cabins stay connected to the road. On a still morning the plow's track is the only line drawn across a white field, while the Salmon River slides dark beneath its icy banks nearby. It is the kind of work that keeps a small town moving, for a community that lives between a national park and open salt water.
