Badger doesn't have much of a center to it, just Badger Road running between larger parcels of black spruce and cleared homestead ground on the way to North Pole, and Sterle Services fits its routes to that scattered layout rather than trying to impose a tighter schedule on it. Snow out here tends to arrive dry and squeaky underfoot in the deep cold, light enough to push easily but persistent once the temperature drops and it sets up hard against a berm. Driveways vary a lot from one property to the next, some barely a car length, others running back a few hundred feet to a house set well off the road for privacy. The ice fog that pools over the valley on the coldest mornings can make even a familiar driveway hard to find the edges of, so markers and stakes matter more here than they would somewhere with better visibility. It's unglamorous, wide-open work, done on a road that most people only drive through on their way to somewhere else.
