About Wild North Services

The greenbelt along Campbell Creek runs right up against a lot of South Anchorage backyards, boreal forest thick enough that a moose can bed down forty feet from a back porch and not be seen until it stands up. Wild North Services works the driveways and cul-de-sacs that back onto that treeline, close enough to the boundary of Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in places that a plow truck sometimes waits on a pair of ravens working over something in the ditch before pulling forward. The creek itself ices over in sheets by December, snow banking up along its banks in drifts that lean into yards on the windward side. Clearing here means working around what the woods send into a driveway overnight — branches down under fresh snow, tracks crossing where a plow needs to turn — as much as the snow itself. Half neighborhood and half forest out here, and the two stop staying separate the moment the snow starts falling.
