About Highmark Services

At dusk on the high shoulder above Rabbit Creek the Chugach go pink for twenty minutes and the whole valley below turns to lights. Highmark Services works those upper neighborhoods, where lots are big, the wind gets a run at them, and a lawn has to be earned: mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, aeration on ground packed hard by winter, and overseeding to close the gaps. Cleanups take out the spruce litter, the gravel thrown up along the drive, and the leaves that collect against every windward fence. Higher up the season is shorter still, so the schedule is kept tight and the work happens when the weather offers the window. Coming back down the hill past a yard cut clean to its edges is a good end to a day.
