Anchorage Lawn & Snow

About Anchorage Lawn & Snow

Breakup lets go all at once in Turnagain — one week it's gray gravel and standing water, the next the birches leaf out and every yard on the Coastal Trail side of town needs cutting on the same day. Anchorage Lawn & Snow meets that first green surge with mowing and edging on a set schedule, trimming around fences and beds, and cleanups that sweep out the sand and grit left behind. Fertilizing goes on while the soil is still cool and hungry; overseeding follows into the bare places the winter pressed flat. On a clear afternoon you can see clean across Cook Inlet to Sleeping Lady while the mower makes its last lap. The lawn holds its lines until the next week comes around, which is the whole point.
