About Alaska Lawn & Services

Floatplanes lift off Lake Hood all afternoon, and under their flight path Spenard keeps its friendly, crooked grid of small lots and old cabins turned houses. Alaska Lawn & Services looks after those yards — mowing on a set week, edging the strip along the sidewalk, trimming the corners a mower can't reach, and weeding the beds before anything goes to seed. Fertilizing early and overseeding thin spots is how a lawn here makes the most of a growing year measured in weeks rather than months. Cleanups bracket the season on both ends, one to open the yard up in May and one to close it down when the leaves let go. The reward is the moment the engine stops and the whole lot reads as one clean piece of green.
